About the artist
Visual artist, dissident and queer from the city of Barranquilla (Colombia) where he lives and develops his practice. He studied Plastic Arts at the Universidad del Atlantico in which he obtained a laureate degree thesis (2021). As a young and emerging artist, he has been selected for different national and international calls and exhibitions. Among his recognitions: Winner of the Prince Claus Seed Awards granted by the Prince Claus Fund for Culture and Development located in Amsterdam-Holland (2021). Scholarship for the Development of Artistic Creation Projects for Young Visual and Plastic Artists of the National Stimulus Program of the Ministry of Culture (2021). National Recognitions XVII Regional Salons of Artists - Caribbean Region (2020). First place in the Collage category in the IV Hall of Visual and Plastic Artists of the city of Barranquilla (2019). Scholarship for International Circulation of Artistic Projects with the District Stimulus Portfolio of the Secretary of Culture of Barranquilla with the SkypeLab 1000 Pixel project, developed in the city of Berlin - Germany (2019). Invitation by RMIT University (Melbourne - Australia) / Hochschule Reutlingen (Reutlingen - Germany) / Landesvertretung Baden-Württemberg on behalf of the Universidad del Atlantico, participation and assistance in setting up the exhibition and opening of the event.
