Painting and interdisciplinary
In my work, I focus on the concept of family and couples and produce works that question the place of individuals within society. I try to convey the couples’ relationships and hidden emotions of these coupled individuals, who are united under the roof as a family and who are in different positions from each other, to the audience under the name of "celebrations". I question the possibility of diversity within the family, the variability of individuals' identities and the search for happiness within the family in a queer way. Correspondingly, I aim to tackle the concepts of woman and the other. In addition to painting, I like to work in an interdisciplinary way depending on my creations. My creation process is actually inspired by my own story. I tell other life stories in my works according to the people I have taken into my life or interacted with. When it comes to form my painting, I use thick peinture brush strokes in an attempt to capture the emotion in the portrait. Rather than executing dominance in my work process, I focus on the emotion on the face. My inspiration is the chaos of life and the various emotions it contains. I generally utilize the idea of chaos and negative emotions to transfer the person's experience to the canvas surface.
