About the artist
This is Jayda Reeberg: an internal battle fighting with the external. i create my own language by translating different aspects of my being - in contrast to surroundings- into a fascination of color combinations. color instead of words. my practice incorporates reflection and conversation and publishes almost like a visual diary, carrying the reminder to embrace the light through the presence of darkness. with works inspired by post colonial theory, cultural/spiritual identity and bridging a passion for hiphop culture, i explore ways to sample these aspects into painting. with a cheeky grin inviting you to look to see.
