About the artist
Gayatri Kodikal has an interdisciplinary practice that oscillates between visual art, game design and performing arts. She is a Speculative Fiction Coach at MAMA, Rotterdam and was recently a fellow at the Fellowship for Situated Practice at bak Utrecht. She did her foundational studies in psychology and experimental filmmaking from The National Institute of Design, India. She completed her Master’s in Art Praxis and Critical Theory from the Dutch Art Institute, Artez University in The Netherlands. Her work has featured in basis voor actuele kunst, Utrecht; Tent, Rotterdam; Matadero Madrid, Matrid; Silent Green, Berlin; Khoj, New Delhi. She will be a presenter for the Master Symposium: Genders of the Forest in Basel. Her work has been supported by India Foundation for the Arts, CBK Rotterdam and Stimuleringsfonds.
