About the artist
I designed poster with collage method. Istanbul-based Kurdish drag artist babykilla represents Kurdish fem queer and trans existence, which is oftenly rendered invisible. babykilla is also an activist, whose field of work calls for Kurdish freedom. Their work aims at Kurdish fem queer and trans visibility locally and around the world. Having started doing drag in the middle of the pandemic, babykilla came to Istanbul after the quarantine period and created their own space in the queer entertainment/nightlife dominated by Turks. They currently work on DJ sets and drag performances in queer entertainment venues. They also organize mini concerts known as "babykilla ile çark köşesi" in different venues of Beyoğlu.
