About the artist
Ateş Alpar (1988), born in Nusaybin, Mardin, is an interdisciplinary artist based in Mardin and Istanbul. Alpar works with a wide range of productions including video, performance, site-specific installations, print media and photography, focusing on issues such as border, security tools, cultural destruction/colonial politics, identity fluidity.
